This cable can also be used to link xbox 360 dvd drive power cables together for Modding (SEE PICTURES). Just plug the female connector end of the power cable into the xbox 360 motherboard (SLIM and/or PHAT) and then plug the male connector your dvd drive power cable. We have used this male/female cable and attached a 20 inch dvd drive power cable to make a 40 inch long DVD Power cable and it works. You can use the OEM (short) dvd drive power cable with the male/female cable. This male/female cable is wired completely different from a regular DVD Drive power cable, so it must have a regular DVD Drive power cable plugged into it in order to work properly. The male connector pin layout is the opposite of the female. This auction includes 1 DVD DRIVE POWER CABLE with a Male and Female connector 20 inches long. The OEM SLIM XBOX 360 dvd drive power cable in the 2nd picture is NOT included. Installation instructions: Plugging your cable into this one.Locate the two bumps on the white terminal connector of your cable and this cable and line them up and plug together.Plugging cable to the XBOX360:Turn the DVD DRIVE so you are looking at the back. When the power cable is plugged in, the two empty holes of the connector should be on the left side when you are looking at the back of the DVD Drive.Turn the XBOX360 Console so you are facing the front of the it (the dvd drive power connector will be on your left side). When the power cable is plugged into the motherboard the two empty holes of the connector will be at the bottom (or closest to you).
