Description: Please take a look at this darling 1954 Vogue Ginny PL walker all dressed for a special fall outing. Ginny is an excellent condition, painted lash walker Ginny with her original, curly blonde wig in curly, twisty braids with swept-to-the-side bangs. Her wig is clean and mostly in the original set. She has a working walking mechanism and blue eyes that need your gentle assistance to sleep, and there are no scratches to her eyelids. Her painted lashes and brows are almost invisible but compliment her striking blonde hair. She has even, "fever" blushed cheeks with no scuffs. She can stand on her own, has all her fingers, is nicely strung and can hold all poses. She is appropriately marked "Ginny Vogue Dolls Inc. Pat. Pend." on her back which dates her to exactly 1954. She is also marked on her neck "Vogue". Her body has no stains, odors, seam splits and is a remarkably wonderful example of a classic, 1954 doll in her darling outfit. This Ginny will come to you dressed in an excellent condition outfit from 1954 "My Tiny Miss" #42, a green floral printed cotton dress with novelty, lace-up felt vest with original chord tie. The outfit closes in back with the original hook and eye closure with no rust. The original matching bloomers have tight elastic. The original, correct, green open-crowned straw hat is festooned with the original yellow velvet flowers and tight chin strap. She wears her original, yellow nylon socks and green, "Ginny" marked shoes (with correct flat soles for 1954) and working knob closures. You may verify this classic Ginny on page 116 of Barbara Clark's "The Colorful World of Ginny" and also on page 127 of the second edition, purple cover, of Izen and Stover's "Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls", where it is shown with the green straw hat.
