Description: This is an old bench or wall mount saw blade vise. Most of the antique vises you see are manufactured by the old tool companies. This one is more primitive than that. It looks to have been made by a blacksmith or local tradesman. This sharpener was designed to be built into a piece of wood or 2 x 4 like this one is. I'm not positive of it but I believe that the vise itself is much older than the 2x4 that it is mounted to. Anyway, it is really a cool old piece that looks great and functions properly.
