I put it on my new bolt action savage .22 long riffle. It is very easy to scope in with just a few turns of the hand turned turents. It really brings the target up close for a clear clean shot.4.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for, but a good value nonetheless.25 Apr 23First time at the range, sighting in with a Ruger 10/22.Just wanted some cheap magnification and this does the job. Unfortunately at 25 yards in 9x even adjusting the diopter does not produce a clear sight picture. It is definitely usable, but that's just my use case, i like having the highest amount of magnification possible. Most people will be comfortable at 3x good sight picture at 25 yards on that but the minimum for 9x seems to be 50yd to get a clear picture.That said, the eyebox is generous, the reticle is clean and visible, the turrets have good tactile response when adjusting.Overall, Pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a rifle scope that actually kept a group for around $60.If I need more reasonably priced glass for anything in the future, I will certainly keep Simmons in my thoughts.5.0 out of 5 stars Great price8 Jan 23For the price of this scope I didn?t have high expectations but I was surprised. Zeroed in in a few shots on my traditions 50 cal muzzle loader. I was skeptical of it handling the recoil but has held zero for over a dozen shots. The turret?s aren?t the most positive clicks like a more expensive scope but they work fine. The glass isn?t like a Nikon, but once again for the price, and on a budget muzzleloader it?s just fine. I was most impressed by this scope when my dog decided to knock it off a bench in my house and it fell 2 feet onto a hardwood floor. I thought the reticle would be broken or it would need to be re sighted. It held zero perfectly! Overall you can ask for more for the price and I was amazed it could take that hit and hold zero. Very impressed. I wouldn?t put this scope on a $2000 dollar rifle but it is an excellent choice for a budget build!5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome scope for the price/quality ratio.25 Apr 17I am really happy with this scope. Surprisedly! I almost exclusively put Leupold optics on my rifles, but I was interested in mounting something on my AR for shooting at the range. I didn't want to buy a new Leupold just for my AR, hate it on the AR, and then have something sitting in my safe waiting for my next rifle purchase. Here's my thoughts:Pros:- The price for this can't be beat. Seriously, for the quality of scope that you get with respect to the price, I am really impressed. No, it's not Leupold quality, but it's also not even close to the same price. You can buy close to 10 of these for the price of a Leupold. Would I put one of these on a rifle that I am packing into the mountains, heavily invested into an elk hunt, no. But for a range rifle, heck yeah. I'm thrilled.- The zero has held between trips to the range, and that's an important hallmark of a good scope. Your zero cannot drift. My last trip to the range, I started to drift bad, and was confused, but soon realized my rings were loose on my Pic rail. Tightened them back down, and back on zero.- The clarity through this lens is quite good, again, with respect to the price. I am equally impressed. There's a slight blur around the edge, but nothing worth worrying about. It's very slight.Cons:- None to report.Overall, I am thrilled with this scope, especially with the price. I bought the same scope with a 50mm objective that lives on my 45-70 and love that one too. It stands up the the beating of the 45-70 very well. Have not fired with it yet. I was able to set it just right with low profile rings to clear the rear sight and the hammer. comes with lens caps. eye relief is pretty good I think. about 2.5 inches.update jan 2016. zeroed the scope at the range. very clear. eye relief is perfect for my marlin. adjustments were very easy and linear. My wife's remington 783 came with a 3-9 x40 and is absolute crap. to compare the 2 side by side, the scope on the was hard to zero. after a few turns it would take a lot more turning than just a click to get it to move the same distance. eye relief is super short on hers. reticle and object are not focused together. i just mounted another one of these on it. a very good scope. updated my rating from 4-5 stars. good zoom range all around.
