Description: Frost Cutlery "Big Lou" gunstock style 2-blade jacknife: Very nice pocketknife in nearly-new condition. It was manufactured in Japan, which has earned a legendary reputation for bladesmithing. Main blade is mirror polished, surgical steel with engraved name of knife, "Big Lou". Pen blade is slipjointed, but main blade locks when open. To release lock, squeeze in on the (folded) pen blade and fold main blade into handles. Tangs have florid logo stampings. Liners, bolsters and pins are brass; handles are plastic, colored to look like bone. Very handsome knife BUT, this beautiful thing has a big, hairy mole on its nose. In order to provide easier access to lift the main blade to open it from the frame, I made a poor hack to carve a thumbnail notch on the back side of the blade. See photos number 2 and 5.
