Description: Description Karl Böhm WPh Live in Tokyo 1977 SACD Single Layer TOWER RECORDS JAPANProduct introduction "New mastering from original analog master tape" A record of the concert at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan on March 11, 1977, which was Böhm's third visit to Japan, is recorded on one SACD single layer. Vividly reproduce the uplifting and beautiful sound of a live performance! This time, we used the latest digitized sound source with high sound quality (192/24) from the analog master tape recorded on TOKYO FM. Latest mastering by ALTUS Saito The 1977 performance of the Böhm & Vienna Philharmonic, recorded by FM Tokyo, has been made into an SACD limited to Tower Records. The tension peculiar to Böhm's live performance and the beautiful, tense sound of the Vienna Philharmonic are beautifully revived with the new remastering from the original tapes. The melting Mozart No. 29, the toned "Don Juan", the impressive Brahms No. 2 with a variety of expressions, and the "Meistersinger" with a bonus recording of Gene Pro are all masterpieces that allow you to enjoy Böhm's deep taste. The 1977 performance was Böhm's third visit to Japan, and the Vienna Philharmonic was the second visit to Japan since 1975, which was a historic performance. After that, Böhm planned to visit Japan alone in 1979, but canceled due to poor health, and the last time he performed in Japan with the Vienna Philharmonic in 1980, the year before his death. The performance in 1977 revived the sensation of 1975, which caused a whirlwind, and among the 14 performances of the Vienna Philharmonic, Böhm conducted 6 performances (the other performance was Dohnanyi), especially Beethoven 150 years after his death. The main event was the 4 performances of the symphony in Tokyo and Osaka (4 songs, of which Nos. 5 and 6 were conducted 3 times), and this album was featured in the last two days of the tour. These are the 3 songs that are included (last day 3/12 in Osaka, Meistersinger Prelude at Genepro). This year, Böhm conducted songs other than Beethoven only for the last two days, so it was a valuable record for the purpose of the song. In particular, the heavenly beauty of Mozart's No. 29 is unique to this combination. Although the solemn feeling of his visit to Japan two years ago has somewhat faded and it seems that he has passed his peak, the accuracy and spirit of Böhm's modeling are still alive and well, and it seems that his sharp-eyed commanding style can be seen. In addition, 3/2 performances of the first concert after coming to Japan are also videoed, so I think you can feel the extraordinary atmosphere even though the songs are different. Behm's live show, which loves music and emits tremendous energy, is a must-listen. The flow of the main Brahms No. 2 and the construction of each movement with core are also splendid, and you can hear it as if the gentleness in a sense, which is different from the recording, enhances the goodness of this song. “Don Juan”, which has no session recording with DG, was also Böhm's best. The DG recording and basic composition performed with the Berliner Philharmoniker are followed, and a large-scale performance that brings out the essence of the song is recorded. All of them can be said to be memorable performances. In this reprint, we created an analog tape for CD based on the analog master tape that was previously commercially available, and after converting it to 16bit/44.1KHz and converting it to CD, mastering was done in the analog domain. AAD", we used a 192kHz/24bit high-resolution master from FM TOKYO's analog master tapes, and performed new mastering. Therefore, compared to the sound at the time of the CD, The sound is more detailed and has a wider range, and is reminiscent of the concert at the time.In addition, taking advantage of the long recording of the SACD single layer, the concert of the day is recorded on one disc. I have edited some of the commentary on time, etc. In addition, the rehearsal of Brahms: Symphony No. is not recorded.Work information Maine Conductor: Karl Boehm Orchestra: Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra others Composer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Strauss, Johannes Brahms, Richard Wagner Contents Number of components | 1 sheetTrack Listing1.
