Description: Very good vintage condition given its age. Some fine surface scratches, gold finish wear, light patina, and ageing of clear paste stones. Locket hinge and snap mechanism are secure and work well, as does the large spring ring clasp on the chain. Locket appears to hold one photo, but there is no snap frame. Locket is a stunning repousse work featuring an iris floral motif accented by paste stones set along a crescent. Inside includes the original celluloid covers and snap frames for both sides. However, the ring doesn't fully snap into place on the repousse side. Othe other framed side is intact and secure. Both inner frames are stamped with letters that are a bit worn but seem to read EGM or ECM & Co. Chain (not orignal) is marked with purity marks for 1/20 12k gold fill. A classic Art Nouveau beauty. Carefully packaged and shipped in a jewelry gift box.
