Description: A RARE FIND, LARGE ANTIQUE WELLER ART POTTERY JARDINIERE OR FLOOR POT IN THE KNIFEWOOD LINE GLOSS GLAZED IN HARD-TO-FIND COLORS FEATURING PEACOCKS ALL AROUND WITH STYLIZED RED FLOWERS AND GREEN LEAVES. THE DETAIL ON THE POT IS AMAZING! UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE AREAS OF STAIN ON THE OUTSIDE AND SOME INSIDE. DESPITE THIS FLAW, THE POT IS BEAUTIFUL ON DISPLAY AND THERE IS A VIEW THAT'S PERFECT. I'VE HEARD SOAKING POTTERY IN A HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SOLUTION CAN REMOVE STAINS, BUT I NEVER TRIED IT. I ENJOYED THIS POT FOR MANY YEARS AS IT IS. IT MEASURES 10" TALL, 11" IN DIAMETER AT THE TOP, 7" IN DIAMETER AT THE BASE RING, AND WEIGHS 8 POUNDS UNPACKED. (PIC 11 SHOWS THE POT WITH OTHER PIECES FOR SIZE PERSPECTIVE.) SEE ADDITIONAL INFO IN CONDITION DESCRIPTION ABOVE. ITEM WILL BE PACKED WITH CARE. I COVER THE COST OF EXTRA INSURANCE. PLEASE EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS. THANKS! Rudolph Lorber, born and educated in Austria, designed the Knifewood line (see last pic from "The Collectors Encyclopedia of Weller Pottery").
