Description: This was never installed on a car but was not stored in the best conditions and shows a fair amount of tarnish and aging, and is being sold as a used part, rather than NOS. It is a factory OEM Lincoln / Ford Motor Company part. This 24k gold plated plaque nameplate was given to owners when they bought a brand new Lincoln. The dealership after the sale would have the owners name engraved on the plaque and then mail the plaque to them for installing on their dash board. If you have one of these cars, this medallion nameplate may be missing as many are, or it may have the first owners name engraved on it, and this is a great way to remove that old plate and have a new one with you name engraved on it. I am not sure what years this particular style or size was used buy it appears to be from the l 1970s or early 1980s, and for the Mark IV, Mark V, Mark VI, with the designer series Cartier option package. This is a small emblem, about 3 1/4 inches long. I think this style was used on the 1976 Mark IV based on some photos, possibly others. This emblem shows tarnish to the gold finish, and discoloration. Because this is gold plating similar to jewelry, cleaning the tarnish will actually remove the soft gold surface plating, so it is highly recommended to leave as is. This could be used on any year, 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 1978 1979 1980 1982 1983 1984 1985.
