Description: This is an early 1950s Mexican Ex Voto painting on tin depicting a man on his knees giving thanks to the "Santisima Virgen Del Pueblito" for curing him of a grave illness that he had for a few years, but he was saved and didnt need to be operated on. It is signed Camilo Vasquez, Yahualica Jalisco. The reverse of this painting still has the original cigarette ad for a vintage brand of Mexican cigaretes known as "Argentinos". The blue colors from the advertising match the blue tones of the painting itself. This makes for a very nice overall object, representative of Mexican culture of the mid20th century. Approx. Dimensions: Height: 9 3/4"Width: 5"Weight: 61g Condition: In good age related condition, minimal losses to the surface. Very presentable. See photos for complete description. LOC. S ID. 20
